did i miss her?
"tch", like hell i did. i swayed on my feet and navigated my way to my room. it was dark. i tried to feel along the wall, but i tripped on something and hit my head on the corner of my desk.
"shit", i cursed myself for leaving whatever it was on the floor, but i didn't even remember putting anything there. i sat myself up, leaning my back against the wall and kicking my feet out in front of me.
i held my head in my hands, as the throbbing pain began to spread. "ahh that hurt", i thought aloud.
suddenly a pair of hands touched me, and i flinched. thinking it was an intruder, i was about to get ready to fight, until they spoke, "are you okay? are you bleeding?". i felt my arms go limp at my sides.
what is this feeling? relief? why should i feel relieved?
the hands grabbed mine and tried to pull me to my feet, but i couldn't even move. without thinking, i pulled onto their hands roughly. the 'intruder' fell into my chest, and i held them there.
taking in her smell, the feel of her hair, her skin, everything, and i just wanted to hold her like that forever. the pain in both my chest and head had faded, and warm tears slipped down my cheeks.
it took me a moment to realize they were mine, but i didn't care. though i was still heavily under the influence, i felt sober.
"zula, i thought you'd left me"
