His Obsession

It started when they were young, with gifts and talk of grandeur. His feelings only grew, her's went to others. He grew to be feared, she grew to be loved. He kept her in his mind, she was too preoccupied for him. He watched her from afar, she spared vew glances at him. He tried to gain her attention, she only tolerated his advances. He loved her. She outgrew him.

Or so she thought.

"It's only forever; not long at all, Blondie." He shrugged as he threw an arm over her shoulders.

"Did you just quote David Bowie?" she questioned, not shrugging off his arm for once.

"Yeah, he's your favorite right?"

"... Yeah," she replied and couldn't hide the smile on her face.
