Rescuing Ash

After defaulting on her student loans, Sadie Lawrence finds herself owned by the government. Placed on a galactic prison as a nurse/lab tech until she pays back the loans, she is forced to do the dirty and frightening work that no other human would sign on for. She didn't think her indentured servitude could get any worse until she is forced to interact with inmate 2464, a hulking humanoid alien that terrifies her more than the guards that treat her like scum. Unfortunately, inmate 2464 seems to be interested in her in a way that makes her uncomfortable.

Ash is biding his time until his crew can bust him out of the orbiting prison. He came to get more information on a species that call themselves human after a discovery of an artifact called the "Pioneer Plaque" indicated there was a planet of creatures with a similar body shape to his own. His people hoped that the females of this race would be able to breed with his own since their females are only interested in playing games with the males and attempting to use their rarity to gain power. What he didn't know was that the humans are now interested in what his kind are and will do anything to use his people as a genetic weapon to strengthen their army.
