Y/N Grady works in the famous theme park, Jurassic World. She lives and works with her older brother, Owen Grady. Just like him, she is an animal behaviourist and trains the velociraptors. Y/N is several years younger than her brother and came on the island much later than him. She also happens to be the only one to know about his past relationship with Claire Dearing, the Senior Assets Manager of the park.

Even though she's the only one who knows about it, she doesn't know all the details. Owen often avoids conversations that include his ex. She's not a subject he enjoys mentioning. That's why not even Y/N knows why they broke up or what happened between the two.

One day, Owen asks his little sister to bring his monthly reports to Miss Dearing's office, since he doesn't want to do it himself. This is when Y/N meets Claire for the first time, not knowing what to expect at all. She only knows the woman as her brother's ex-girlfriend and the person who keeps the place up and running.
