"Please wake up." I said as I held his hand. I looked for any sign of response; a movement beneath an eyelid, a twitch of a finger. Nothing. He was just... blank. I felt the tears come. I played with his hand in mine; traced invisible messages in his palm with my finger, hoping just maybe he'd magically be able to get them. Tears started falling down my cheeks. I held his hand gently against my lips. Tears dropped on his fingers until they were as wet as my eyes. I rested my head on his limp hand. "I told you I needed you to stay."

My breath hitched when he leaned down to whisper in my ear, "your eyes are beautiful." I couldn't understand what I was feeling, like butterflies in my stomach. I felt all happy and giggly inside, it was scaring me. I wasn't suppose to feel this way, I wasn't suppose to feel anything at all. "You look adorable when you blush," he whispered huskily, causing a shiver to run down my spine. He had such a strong effect on me and I didn't like it one bit.
