Meet Y/N, your average, coffee-addicted and broke college student desperately trying to hold onto his day job and complete his Computer Information Systems course. Because his friends are out of town, he's alone in his village residence, but when strange, purple anomalies begin to appear around his campus and surrounding town, he finds himself falling through the cracks in the universe, throwing him through a gateway to a new, hostile and unfamiliar place. After the falling stops, Y/N finds himself stranded in a universe full of flying cars, intergalactic space-travelling ships, strange alien creatures, highly advanced robots, a stranded Ratchet and Clank, a dangerous Emperor Nefarious, a less-dangerous Dr Nefarious and a Resistance seemingly led by Rivet, the last-known Lombax of her world.

Will Y/N find his way back to his universe and Earth? Will Rivet and The Resistance finally put an end to Emperor Nefarious's tyrannical reign with the help of Clank and Y/N? Ratchet and Clank are back on Fastoon, about a year after the events in the game "Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack In Time", and are studying the ruins and looking into lombax culture. They soon discover a research laboratory, containing an ancient portal which sends them careening into an alternate parallel dimension - a place where the normal conventions of behavior, morality, etc. are flipped on their heads, and history has played out somewhat differently. Here they encounter characters who are the opposites of what they are in their own universe, and must deal with each as a result. It will be the beginning of an emotional roller coaster ride for the two heroes! This is the first of what will be a multi-story arc, as Ratchet and Clank stumble through several dimensions while trying to find their way home! PLEASE NOTE: This story has some violence in it, but no gore. There is also a tiny amount of body horror as well as a little cursing. Her canon outfit(non-armor) has a scarf to it, despite her living on acid swamp world like Sargasso. Some of this story is told from Rivet's POV, from the POV's of others, as well as just story narration. Things this story is meant to touch on: Rivet's early life before the Resistance. Rivet's reason for eventually joining the Resistance. Why Rivet wears a scarf (not really important, but details are nice..) Her distrust for robots. The loss of her arm. Why she simply refuses to give up. Meeting Pierre Keep in mind, minus her distrust of robots, and the loss of her arm, none of this is canon.
