Every night, I've looked out my window, just watching for it. They say the monster you see is better than the monster you don't. But, no one who's seen this monster has been able to describe it for us. No one's survived to. For some reason though, I can't help but look. I bet that's why the tourists don't come back from the woods, because they can't stop themselves from looking. That's how it catches them. I hope it doesn't catch me.

Brush my teeth, get dressed, go to school and do homework. That's what my life was about, occasionally going to parties. But when a new kid comes to school and turns your world upside down, your best friend turning into your enemy. And me, turning into something that isn't exactly human. Things could get pretty strange. Especially with a life like mine. It would take a lot of work to actually survive, but to live at the same time is just exhausting. But it's all worth it. When the world starts to get an infection, everything goes to hell. The infection starts out simple, the white of their eyes turn blood red, then the iris turns yellow, and then the pupil turns white. In this process of their eye changing colors they slowly lose their minds and become zombie like. Lucky is in one hell of a ride when the infection hits her town, and she loses everyone important to her. Will she make it through, or lose her mind in the process.
