It is the 41st Millennium. For more than a hundred centuries The Emperor has sat immobile on the Golden Throne of Earth. He is the Master of Mankind by the will of the gods, and master of a million worlds by the might of his inexhaustible armies. He is a rotting carcass writhing invisibly with power from the Dark Age of Technology. He is the Carrion Lord of the Imperium for whom a thousand souls are sacrificed every day, so that he may never truly die.

Yet even in his deathless state, the Emperor continues his eternal vigilance. Mighty battlefleets cross the daemon-infested miasma of the Warp, the only route between distant stars, their way lit by the Astronomican, the psychic manifestation of the Emperor's will. Vast armies give battle in his name on uncounted worlds. Greatest amongst his soldiers are the Adeptus Astartes, the Space Marines, bio-engineered super-warriors. Their comrades in arms are legion: the Imperial Guard and countless planetary defence forces, the ever vigilant Inquisition and the tech-priests of the Adeptus Mechanicus to name only a few. But for all their multitudes, they are barely enough to hold off the ever-present threat from aliens, heretics, mutants - and worse.
To be a man in such times is to be one amongst untold billions. It is to live in the cruelest and most bloody regime imaginable. These are the tales of those times. Forget the power of technology and science, for so much has been forgotten, never to be re-learned. Forget the promise of progress and understanding, for in the grim dark future there is only war. There is no peace amongst the stars, only an eternity of carnage and slaughter, and the laughter of thirsting gods. In unknown world, where the legionnaire astartes battle off against the enemies of mankind, as an astartes fought to the end as the mankind were besieged by the enemies of mankind. Until he was transported to the battlefield to the unknown world, will he survive or will he die like his brothers.

In the grim darkness of the 41st millennium, where the galaxy burns in constant warfare, the forces of the Astra Militarum and the Space Marines stand as humanity's shield against the horrors that threaten to engulf the Imperium. Among the most disciplined and fearless legions of the Guard are the Mordian Iron Guard-known for their unflinching resolve and iron discipline. Leading the charge in this campaign is an Iron Guard Officer, a hardened veteran of countless battles, who must marshal his troops against the insidious forces of Chaos. Assigned to fight alongside them is a single squad of Salamanders Space Marines, the fiery sons of Vulkan, whose resilience and compassion for humanity stand in stark contrast to the stoic and rigid Mordians. As they battle through war-torn worlds and decimated strongholds, the uneasy alliance must find common ground to defeat their relentless enemy. Their journey will take them across varied theaters of war, from scorched desert planets to the decaying ruins of once-thriving Hive Cities. With Chaos warbands, Traitor Marines, and daemonic forces pressing in on all sides, the Mordian Iron Guard and the Salamanders must forge a united front or face total annihilation. As battles rage and alliances are tested, the line between duty, survival, and sacrifice will blur-challenging both soldier and Space Marine alike to redefine what it means to serve the Emperor in the darkest of times. Will this unlikely brotherhood survive the fires of war, or will the forces of Chaos tear them asunder? Disclaimer: I am not affiliated with the Warhammer 40k franchise. I do not own WH40k, Arknights, Azur lane, or references to other franchises, or Halo for that matter. I don't own star wars either. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You lost, The Darkness Encroaches upon the other Dimensions, No longer contained and held at bay by the Imperium, with the Imperium scattered and Fractured, in the wake of the Newley crowned Emperor's (Y/n's) Disappearance through the Golden slip space rupture.. While Remnants of the Imperium and its vassals still fight on, to do what they can, they are mostly leaderless, with the only surviving members of the Royal Family being Y/n's younger siblings, Chris(tina) and Pyre, and his twin, Selene. yet all is not lost, A Search Begins, a Hunt ends, Legends will be proven true, while old myths come back to the chessboard, Will Dawn or Dusk Yield? The Ark Of War Begins, and with it, the Pendulum swings... And you are the Catalyst. Yes, I am not good at book covers. No, this is not an official work, like my last story, simply a fanfic, with added elements. Trails of darkness, Is no longer canon in my fanfic's lore. I do not own any of the videos or pictures used in the making of this Fanfic series, and all content goes to original creators. This is the real first book of the series, the prequel will be modified to fit the lore established in THIS book. Also, some of the grammar in the first few chapters is . . . Questionable, to say the least, but please ignore my rushing to get chapters out at first, because it gets better later on.

Der Mensch ist böse. Der Mensch muss besser und böser werden So lehre ich. The human is evil. The human must become better and more evil. So I teach. A conflict of good and evil, in which evil proves that it is not as weak as it seems. Proving that darkness can overcome the light, The Twin Devils of the Rhine soar through the air. Their gaze, ferocious. Their weapons, locked and loaded. Their thirst for blood, at overdrive. The Empire fights its way against the entire world, one against them all. But one shall prove that their efforts are not in vain, for The Fairy and The Steel Gargoyle are on their site. Mercy is the last thing on their list, and their hate for the divine is right at its top. As one who denied God, and one who aligned himself with Lucifer, they fight their way through the war. One which carries the mind to fool God. One which carries the muscles to kill God. Be it a bullet, soldier, or bomb, nothing was effective against such a duo. Both of their life may have ended earlier than imagined, but like the undead, they rose from their tombs. Their rest was cut short, and their life once more began, this time, surrounded by nothing but evil and chaos. With them, they carried the will of The Empire, slaughtering dozens upon dozens of heretics who dared to raise weapons. An old ally on the wars of the world we're familiar unites once more. This time around, however, there are no nations to save their enemies from destruction and bloodthirst.
