It is the 41st Millennium. For more than a hundred centuries The Emperor has sat immobile on the Golden Throne of Earth. He is the Master of Mankind by the will of the gods, and master of a million worlds by the might of his inexhaustible armies. He is a rotting carcass writhing invisibly with power from the Dark Age of Technology. He is the Carrion Lord of the Imperium for whom a thousand souls are sacrificed every day, so that he may never truly die.

Yet even in his deathless state, the Emperor continues his eternal vigilance. Mighty battlefleets cross the daemon-infested miasma of the Warp, the only route between distant stars, their way lit by the Astronomican, the psychic manifestation of the Emperor's will. Vast armies give battle in his name on uncounted worlds. Greatest amongst his soldiers are the Adeptus Astartes, the Space Marines, bio-engineered super-warriors. Their comrades in arms are legion: the Imperial Guard and countless planetary defence forces, the ever vigilant Inquisition and the tech-priests of the Adeptus Mechanicus to name only a few. But for all their multitudes, they are barely enough to hold off the ever-present threat from aliens, heretics, mutants - and worse.
To be a man in such times is to be one amongst untold billions. It is to live in the cruelest and most bloody regime imaginable. These are the tales of those times. Forget the power of technology and science, for so much has been forgotten, never to be re-learned. Forget the promise of progress and understanding, for in the grim dark future there is only war. There is no peace amongst the stars, only an eternity of carnage and slaughter, and the laughter of thirsting gods. In unknown world, where the legionnaire astartes battle off against the enemies of mankind, as an astartes fought to the end as the mankind were besieged by the enemies of mankind. Until he was transported to the battlefield to the unknown world, will he survive or will he die like his brothers.

"Goodbye Curly Head" by NUmaker
40 parts Complete
Through thick and thin the Law shall prevail. A new sense of purpose awaits us, children of light, in the land where it all began. The darkness in which we once cowered in fear, now curbed by the might of our endless light. Come, brothers, come, sisters. Let there be peace among the wicked, just as the Law dictates. Peace and certainty is all that you have ever longed for, little angel. A bright, stable future. A roof without holes above thy head. Acknowledgement and recognition of thy existence, feverish dreams of grandeur. Greed born from yearning, treacherous vines of rapacity taint your innocent soul. You seek a future that does not exist. Let thy fingers hold the fragile line between dream and nightmare. Let thy light navigate the path. Shall thee give in and falter, O' land of old, envelop his body in thy unending flame of chaos. Spit out nothing but an empty husk, the remnants of a smile once so bright. Shall thee prevail, O', Great Kazdel, I ask of you, the impossible - take mercy on the innocent. Don't let the radiance dim and don't let the mind turn bleak. Wake, young traveler. Bid thy farewells and burn thy bridges. It's time to say goodbye, curly head. Cross post from AO3. For a shorter and more on-point description, look no further! I had something silly written up before throwing it out in exchange for that wall of text upstairs. It's a little story "about a young, dumb sankta who's been dealt a bad hand at life, looking for his place in all this mess. The pointless search for a better future leads him far, far away from home, to a country forever ravaged by war and misery - Kazdel, the promised land where devils roam free and peace feels out of place." Anyway, it's quite lengthy, but hopefully enjoyable? Slide a comment if you want, I'll give you a tiny kiss on the forehead. Man, do I love comments. (Lastly, to point out, English is not my native language, but I don't think it'll be much of an issue ;3)
Terra Invicta: Echoes of Defiance. [Remarshaled Version] by TheagentKevinlee
12 parts Ongoing Mature
(My Terra Invicta's Remarshaled Version.) For Centuries, we have been at each other's throats. Weapons against one another. For Resources, Land, Power, or other petty things... We thought we were the only masters of this World... And as we were busy stopping our own Alien Invaders... They've come... And we were unprepared. The SIRENs came, and every trip to the seas was hell. And the Seas became dangerous. Along with their Mirror Seas. The Sangvis Ferri came, and we faced a nearly unstoppable force, of Combat Dolls. As disorganized Soldiers and Armored fell. The Reunion came, and they brought the sickness of the Oripathy to our people. Even though we've managed to prevent it. The Honkai came, and the Honkai Sickness makes every day... A fight for survival and fear struck everyone's mind. And the Replacers came, and the land became corrupted. Turning people into monsters. ... We were on our own. No Azur Lane or Crimson Axis to call for the seas to be reclaimed. No Griffin and Kryuger to repel the Sangvis' Storm. No Schicksal's Valkyries to take down the Honkai's terror. No Rhode Island to halt the Reunion's wrath. And no Administration's Counters to prevent the Replacers from Corrupting our home. Worse... Some Factions on our Homeworld... Joined the Invaders... ... And yet, Echoes of Our Defiance shows one thing... The Humanity of Earth... still didn't wave a White Flag. And our reinforcements realized... There is still hope for us. Let's end this Terra Invicta War, once and for all!

In the grim darkness of the 41st millennium, where the galaxy burns in constant warfare, the forces of the Astra Militarum and the Space Marines stand as humanity's shield against the horrors that threaten to engulf the Imperium. Among the most disciplined and fearless legions of the Guard are the Mordian Iron Guard-known for their unflinching resolve and iron discipline. Leading the charge in this campaign is an Iron Guard Officer, a hardened veteran of countless battles, who must marshal his troops against the insidious forces of Chaos. Assigned to fight alongside them is a single squad of Salamanders Space Marines, the fiery sons of Vulkan, whose resilience and compassion for humanity stand in stark contrast to the stoic and rigid Mordians. As they battle through war-torn worlds and decimated strongholds, the uneasy alliance must find common ground to defeat their relentless enemy. Their journey will take them across varied theaters of war, from scorched desert planets to the decaying ruins of once-thriving Hive Cities. With Chaos warbands, Traitor Marines, and daemonic forces pressing in on all sides, the Mordian Iron Guard and the Salamanders must forge a united front or face total annihilation. As battles rage and alliances are tested, the line between duty, survival, and sacrifice will blur-challenging both soldier and Space Marine alike to redefine what it means to serve the Emperor in the darkest of times. Will this unlikely brotherhood survive the fires of war, or will the forces of Chaos tear them asunder? Disclaimer: I am not affiliated with the Warhammer 40k franchise.
