Cassie and her dad moved to Outer Banks for the summer because her dad got a really good job offer there. They weren't really rich. The girl became friends with Pogues and later became one. She obviously knew Rafe and everything he has done but they never really talked so she didn't think much of him. The girl really seemed to enjoy it here until things got pretty messed up, which Rafe obviously had a role in.
