Not every love story is a novel. Some are only chapters in a larger book. Galene continues life without Ares by her side and in her bed, but the awakening he has caused within her extends outwardly. Galene continues her duties as the goddess set to calm the seas. When a chance encounter with another minor god, Asclepius, sends her reeling in another way. Their interest in mortals is what connected them, but it's Galene's actions that may become the downfall of humanity. This is the sequel to Taming of Ares.

The Holy War is over. Athena and her knights can finally live more peacefully and get some rest. Even Seiya, who has survived Hades's sword and is slowly healing. Unsure about the safety of the planet, Athena revives the Gold Saints once more to have them protect Sanctuary, but a certain god she seemed to have forgotten doesn't really approve of her 'playing with the souls of the dead'. Despite the lesson taught by the Bronze Saints months ago, three of Poseidon's Marinas are still alive, and Julian Solo turns out to be reluctant to start another war, unlike his deity. The best way found to avoid this nonsense is through marriage. Being too young to tie such a knot, Saori and Julian find themselves forced to unite two of their respective protectors: a monotonous and boring but respectful man and a woman weakened on every level by her many burdens.
