A female awakens upon a field to find a trio of what they claimed to be "Ylisseans." This female, named Sapphyre, joins their rankings and fights against enemies as their tactician. This leads to journeys through the world and a friendship that lasts a lifetime. 
(Basically a retell of the video game Fire Emblem Awakening)
