His name is Rayn Laake, he's the geek that noticed her. He is a cheerful, optimistic guy that sees nothing but the best in people. They were brought together by an assignment for class.
So what will happen when Chay decided that she hates Rayn before she meets him? Is it just another symptom of depression? She doesn't know. Rayn just thinks that she's shy, so he tries to get closer to her. Will Chay finally open up to someone? Or will she just keep pushing people away? Can Rayn deal with what comes with trying to get to know her, is he ready for it? Is Chay ready for it?

Zoey is running out of time and she thinks no one has tried to help her until her "special" speech in class. No one really cares about what she really thinks anyway. It just that feeling of pity. Everyone thinks she really is sick but she knows she's not. But what if she is? Maybe all it takes is that one thing to make her snap. As her life gets thrown into chaos and deep dark secrets she can't help but try to figure out the truth. As I walk into the school, he spots me and immediately starts talking to me. I brush past him, ignoring him, but today is definitely not my lucky day... He grabs my arm firmly, stopping me, and turns me to face him. The pain on my face contorts his expression. "What's wrong, Emma? Lost your voice, lizard?" I don't look at him; my head is hung low once again. "When I'm talking, you need to look at me!" he shouts, lifting my chin so I have to meet his gaze. I look at him, but it's not with innocence; it's with anger. "Oh, look, Emma's angry, everyone!" he mocks. "Just leave me alone," I say, meeting his eyes as I pull my arm free from his grip and walk away. He stares at me, shocked, as do all the kids around us, not expecting what I just did.
