"You know..." He stopped for a second, it seemed like he was trying to find the right words. "You're a good person." He said finally. * * * * Reed, a junior at Denbrick High School, feels so lost and alone in the world, ever since her brother was killed. She had everything she ever wanted, but it all just slipped away, destroying her acting experience and her family's relationships. She feels that she can't talk to anyone about her brother, including her best friend. That was all until senior, Aaron Finch, Reed's brother's closest friend, entered her life. It wasn't on purpose, but maybe pushing away everybody, will slowly make everything better. Aaron, surprisingly, is the only one who Reed actually feels comfortable talking to. Maybe it's because of how close he was to her brother, or maybe it's because he knows what it's like. Either way, whenever she is around him, on the outside she is confident, hiding the butterflies she gets every time he speaks. Can death lead to desire?

Ariella Hendrix had one rule for surviving senior year: stay focused and stay invisible. As the soon-to-be valedictorian - and daughter of the principal - she had no time for parties, drama, or cocky basketball players with too much swagger and not enough GPA. LaMelo Ball had one goal: the NBA. School? Not on his radar. Homework? Never heard of her. But when failing grades put his season - and his draft dreams - on the line, the last person he expected to be stuck with was quiet, perfect Ariella Hendrix. She's been in love with him for years. He's just noticing her now. Between late-night study sessions, loud team parties, and her twin brother breathing down their necks, the line between helping him pass and catching feelings gets thinner by the day. And the closer they get, the harder it is to hide it from the one man who can ruin it all - her dad. In senior year, everyone's chasing something. For them, it might just be each other.
