The Emperor's Baker [ M x M ]

Wren Sherman is one of the best baker's in Barma and has led a normal life up until the summer of the 19th century, with the coming of a new millennia a new emperor was crowned. Emperor Aurelius of Lyrez was crowned emperor upon the death of his father and as the emperor he's decided to travel to all of Lyrez.

Upon his impossible venture he visits the town of Barma and per chance Wren's family bakery. The chemistry between them is unmistakable and due to an unfortunate state of events, the emperor takes care of Wren allowing the two to spend more time together through which Wren starts to develop feelings for the emperor, feelings he shouldn't have, feelings he can't have.

He's only the emperor's baker, only a pauper, how could he compete with the innumerable rich and famous suitors that start flooding the palace every day? He can't. Yet he also can't help the magnetic pull that draws him closer to the incredulously charming and ridiculously handsome male especially when their alone.

What Wren doesn't know is that he isn't the only one fighting a losing battle between his heart and his mind, he's not the only one falling for someone they can't have. Something gloriously forbidden, but you know what they say about forbidden fruit? It always tastes the sweetest.
