Saudade: [Portuguese] noun /s-ah-ooh-DAH-de/ the feeling of longing for someone you love and have lost.

I felt my heart leap in my chest as my eyes met the piercing blue ones of the boy I had been seeing in my dreams for years.

Of the boy I knew I had been and to a degree was still in love with.

And his eyes did not recognize me.

"What's your name, greenie?" Gally questioned roughly as we all looked down at the newest arrival in the box.

"Thomas."

Author Note: I first wrote this story when I was 16, in high school. I'm now 23 years old and in grad school! After many years (literally) of readers begging me to continue this series, I have returned! I am starting by thoroughly editing Saudade, and then will be continuing on to finish the sequel (Yuanfen), and the third book I had planned out when I began this series.
