Love is fatal

"Why does it hurt so much?" He cries into the phone.

"Why does what hurt so much?" She whispers into the phone.

"Betrayal." He quickly says into the phone before the line goes dead.

"When you fall in love with someone your basically already dead, you stay up all night wishing for them to come home at night when you know they're not being faithful, you tell them your darkest secrets when you know they can easily expose them to the world without a second thought, you love them with everything you have when you know that they don't feel the same, most of all you give yourself to them heart included.

That is just what Emily doesn't want to feel ever again. She hates that vulnerable feeling you get when you fall in love. It sickens her, to even watch others so in love. Do you know why? Because love is fatal.
