L Lawliet, worlds greatest detective and possibly the smartest person alive... can't talk. Well, he can, but only to those he's deeply connected with. Partially mute, he hides behind his screen and solves crimes anonymously. Speaking to taskforces with text to speech, and no face shown. Until he's pushed into a corner with a particularly tricky case, and ends up having to make his first face to face interaction. (y/n) shows up to the hotel room of the worlds greatest detective, thinking they'd see a well polished, wise old man. Instead they're met with a tired, young and rather huggable looking guy with eyebags holding a torn notebook page saying "I am L, and I can't talk" -- GNC READER. Basically all language for the reader is gender neutral, anyone can read! Non binary mfs rejoice. When the eventual lemon hits it'll be kinda alluded to an AFAB body (bc marketing to my main audience yo), but all pronouns are they/them and there's no descriptions of tiddies or anything. But on the inside, they're a mad thrill seeker who would do anything for a good adrenaline rush. They take advantage of the people they win over and use them for their own entertainment. They don't care about conforming to society or living a 'normal' life, because what's the fun in that? Nobody's seen the real them. There's not one person they truly care about; who knows their true character nor person behind the mask they wear. They're a mystery in and of themselves, one that nobody can solve. Or so it seems. Unfortunately for them, the iconic detective L takes a special interest in them, and recruits them to Japan to work alongside him on the Kira case. In her spare time, she tries to solve the case and her parents fully support her. The detective that goes by the name L becomes her idol. After her extensive research, she is noticed by L. But (Y/N) has been instructed to get close to Light, while trying to keep her relationship with L. True Love will always find it's way. Also just a side note~ a lot more happens.
