Emily Vermillion is one of the only surviving direct descendants of the Vermillion-Dragneel bloodline and that made her life as a wizard difficult. From having to hide her water dragon slayer magic to keeping her great grandfather a secret, her life had been a wreck since the year X776. But one fellow Fairy Tail member named Laxus Dreyar had stayed by her side through it all. Even watching out for her during the time he wasn't in the guild.
