Winter was always the youngest boy's favorite season, although lush lavender fields awaited him and his hound-like friend, Thomas, during the spring. Until then, it was frozen under the wood' s snowing slumber.

He turned to see a gray wall where grandfather used to sit telling his remarkable tales of the woods before mother and father were alive. He made it sound a knights tale. Max, do you remember what I did to that no good coyote?

"Ya sent him for the desert," He faintly mumbled, again, turning to be staring blankly out the window in blissful memory, giving a smirk after the comment. He longed for Grandfather Fauxe to tell of his and Granny's heroic tales of how they and their friends controlled the destiny of the wood. Luckily, Granny was alive herself. Sadly, she was a terrible story teller and was suffering memory loss. She remembered your face and name, and only so.
