19 parts Complete Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Jason Todd have been best friends since they were little kids, before Jason fled to the streets of Gotham. Both raven-haired kids grew up with identical pasts and backgrounds, and both connected with each other because of it. The two honorary siblings quickly became adoptive siblings after Jason fled to the streets after his dad went to jail and mom died, thanks to Sabine Dupain-Cheng adopting him at Marinettes begging and pleading, much to Tom Dupain's anger.
Jason had Sabine and Mari's hearts and love for him, and the two had his, but never had Tom's, not that he cared. He hated the man because of the way he treated Mari and Sabine, which was like his bio father did to him, and Tom hated him because he'd lived in the streets and wasn't biologically part of the Dupain-Cheng family, so he got treated the same, but the abuse was 10x as bad.
All Jason and Mari cared was that they had each other, and that they would be ok if they had each other by the other's side.
But everything changed when Tom had finally had crossed the line, and that was the line that would change the siblings forever.
