People say that Chat Noir is useless. So what if there wasn't a Chat Noir originally?

In the city of Paris, Ladybug is the sole hero and has been taking out villains for about a year. But she can no longer do it alone all the time.
A dozen students are handpicked to attend Superhero Prep, a new boarding school, just outside Paris. Students can be activated to help Ladybug out on missions.
But what has happened to our hero? And why is she so cold towards everyone?
