After Stiles has just been shunned by his best friend Scott for committing the murder of Donavon, breaking up with Malia and driven out of the pack Stiles is forced to deal with the many dangers that face him alone.
You see even though the Nogitsune may have been destroyed Stiles was affected by his possession and needs to take certain pills in order to stop his body from being consumed by the darkness the Nogitsune left behind. But with dangers all around him Stiles may have no choice but to give into the very darkness that he has feared for so long.

Stiles yelped but stood back up and glared at Derek, "I got shot, Derek! It hurt!" He turned to his girlfriend who continued to stare at him blankly. "Em, tell him that just because I'm a vampire that getting shot still causes me pain!" She pursed her lips, "Stiles, I've never been more tempted to hit you than right now." She hissed, causing him to stiffen. She practically stomped up to him. "I thought you were actually hurt! Do you know how scared I was?!" She practically yelled. Their freaking chemistry teacher who hated their guts - mostly Stiles'. Allison came back Void and remembered nothing, only that she must kill werewolves. (Specifically Derek). But to not worry because Lydia screamed and it gave her the memories she had lost. Scott told Stiles how Derek Hale sacrificed himself to save not only the pack but his son as well.
