If you haven't read the first book I'd recommend reading It first or you'll be confused! The book is called Coming Home.
It's been a 1 year and 3 months since I've been back home. After I got discharged from the hospital I spent a lot of time doing physical therapy to get back to where I was before. I still have to be careful with my head and arm. My arm has pretty severe nerve damage and weakness, I can still use It but not the same way as before. I'm still doing physical therapy to try and get It stronger.
They ended up catching Collins the day I was rescued. He's currently awaiting trial for the murder of Michael Andrews and the attempted murder of myself and Sargent Barnes. He could be facing the death penalty because of It, but he dug that hole himself.
Mal and I are still going strong. I moved in with her 6 months ago and I'm loving It so far. I'm planning on proposing soon so hopefully she says yes.
My doctor finally cleared me to play soccer and I was excited to play on the national team again. I can't wait to get out on the field again.

I wake up with a pounding headache. Now I know why my mother tells me not to drink. I open my eyes and close them right after. I pull my covers off of me and stretch for a minute.
