Violet has a pretty messed life before her new neighbors move into the house next door. She doesn't have any friends but at one point she did. She had one really good friend but she passed a few months ago along with her brother. 
Her new neighbor will be the best thing that will ever be in her life along with the memories of her brother and her best friend.

Noah moved to a new town just a few weeks before school starts back up again. He meets a few people on his bus and they end up best friends. One of them tells them about a party that they got invited to. They invite Noah and their other friend along. Noah gets sort of lost but finds his way to a corner. He hangs out there for a while until he feels someone bump into him. He's the one who says sorry and the other questions It. The question soon gets taken back.
