Upon his brother's eighteenth birthday, sixteen year old Ruple meets a servant girl who seems shy around the young Prince, but provides him only with a name: Katherine. Later that week, he catches a glimpse of a girl who looks very alike the girl, only with a different name: Evelyn. Ruple pesters his brother, Quincy, about who the girl is and whether the two are the same person. If a Prince can have a different personality for when he felt like the pressures of being a Prince were too heavy, surely a Lady can too? As Ruple gets to know Evelyn more, and sees Katherine less, he starts to think that they have to be the same girl, despite both their reluctance to answer any questions he has.
