After having the perfect fantasy life nobody wants to wake up, Beth woke up to solitude. After loosing her boyfriend in a car accident Beth is lost, he was everything to her and she has no idea how to stand on her own two feet without him. When Daemon enters the picture, her boyfriend's stranged brother, she starts to slowly get back up. Will Daemon be the one to pick up the pieces? Or is it time for her to do it on her own?
After a world of depending on someone else, she realizes that being hiding behind someone is much easier than standing alone, but can she continue being dependent? Or do life circumstances force her to grow up, without Daemon's help?

"I'm not perfect. If you know my life story it would change your mind," I admit, looking down. Yes, I hate my past and yes, I'm most definitely not perfect. I untangle myself from Dante and get off the bed, turning to look at them all. "I need to go back to my hotel room to change." The response is instantaneous. All men frown and begin to protest. I look up into his dark blue eyes. My palms are sweaty; my mind is spiraling. I want to ask. I just don't know how. "Ask." he whispers breaking into my thoughts. I take a deep breath.
