At Least We Have Good Weather: A Life of Love and Loss
An autobiographical tale of love, hope, and perseverance, my debut novel begins at the moment of my cruelest heartache that left me stunned and confused. In order to understand and deal with what happened, I take a darkly comic journey back through my life, examining more than 50 moments of true love, epic gestures, romance and foolish decisions. From tear -jerking stories, to heartbreaking awkward hilarity, the book reveals stories of my greatest loves to life changing moments with strangers. It's a story about living life against all the odds (and rules)and ultimately a story about hope because sometimes bad lives, happen to good people. This is My Life
I've been very depressed and heartbroken so, what better than to create a story out of it? "This is my life" details a protagonist going through her teenage years up until the age of 21. Through love, friendship, grief, and heartbreak, you will get to witness what it's like being a young black girl trying to conquer the world. I hope anyone going through either heartbreak, grief, insecurities, mental health declines are able to read this and know that they're not alone! Life can be so ugly at times, but I promise things always get better. Not your typical romance or teen fiction book!
