Leila Ardeneux was born into a family of werewolves. By every principle of biology and logic, she should be one. But something is wrong with her, something that has caused her skin to be hairless and her teeth unsharp, something that has made her an outcast among her pack. She found her only solace in her best friend, Zakai Belfiore. He meant the world to her and she to him. They grew up together, playing childish games and pulling spiteful pranks. It was them against the world and they were inseparable, until they were torn apart. When they were fourteen, Zakai's family left the pack, thereby forcing him to leave Leila. After two years without him, Leila leaves as well. She runs away from her abusive pack to build a life as a human. For three years it works, and for the first time, her life is almost peaceful. Then one night a familiar scent wafts through the air, a dead body appears under a bridge, and someone is stalking her new human family. As the past converges upon the volatile present, Leila finds that she cannot outrun her blood so easily--or the right her birth has damned her to. Weekly updates! Cover made by @Silverless

Waindale

Wrenley returns to Waindale hoping for a peaceful escape, but the dark secrets lurking in the woods soon pull her into a dark mystery-one she'll be forced to confront. *** Wrenley moves to Waindale-the place where her mother grew up and where her grandmother still lives. Between the pine trees and above the wet ground, she soon realizes that Waindale is anything but the perfect place she remembers it as. Dark things stalk the woods. Dark things are pulling her in. *** "I turn on the lamp that's sitting on top of my dresser. The pink lampshade makes my room glow with a feminine warmth, and it shines through the glass of my window; a signal so he can find his way home. It's dark out there, so bone-chillingly dark that I nearly fear for him before realizing that he is the greatest danger in those woods." *** Human X Werewolf PG-13
