Kiera McCall is Scott McCall's younger sister, and she's always considered the pack her extended family. As Kiki, as she likes to be called, begins her second semester of high school, there's threats coming from every direction - finances, Kate Argent's back to life, something's going on with Derek, she's always suspicious of Peter, personally, and of course there's the emotional baggage of her big sister, Allison, who wasn't really her big sister but felt like it, dying.

Oh yeah, and she's entering high school. How is Kiki supposed to survive her freshman year, when her older brother's a werewolf, Lydia Martin seems to think she should be flirting with every available guy, she barely knows the two new girls, Kira and Malia, and it feels like Kira's trying to replace Allison, and not only that, but she might have a crush on one of the new lacrosse players, a transfer from Devenford Prep.
