They say true love hits at the most unexpected time. For me, it hit during a weeklong vacation at a beautiful Mexican resort. I found my soulmate. After nearly a year of being apart, vacation time is approved and flights are booked. However, our plans are disrupted when a pandemic wreaks havoc on the world.

I'm weak and broken, tormented by monsters that keep reaching for me, touching my body, hurting me, living marks on my skin and soul. I don't know how it feels to sleep without waking up in the middle of the night sweating, incapable of defending myself, too afraid to scream for help. Until I meet him. He is strong enough to cast away the nightmares, to fight my demons scaring them away, to erase my scars with his tender touch.
