"It's snowing."
Jihyun opened his eyes, whirling around. "What?"
The prince's eyes were glassy, dazed as he stared out at the pond. "It is snowing."
Jihyun frowned, walking around the whip and to the prince's side. "It is winter. It is not strange for there to be snow. Besides, we were just-" Jihyun paused. The prince of Byulran was crying.
"It has not snowed in the capital for thirteen years. Not since my mother died. But now, for the first time in over a decade, snow has fallen. And for the first time, you are here."

The tale begins in the bustling, impoverished streets of Hanyang, where Yohan, a mute commoner, live among the forgotten and forsaken. The air is thick with the stench of decay and despair, a stark contrast to the grandeur of the royal palace that looms in the distance. Yohan, however, are a ghost in this city, unseen by most, but his defiance is palpable. Despite Yohan's silence, his eyes speak volumes-sharp, calculating, and burning with a fire that no one, not even the oppressive government, can extinguish. Emperor Yi Hwan, a man consumed by power and cruelty, never intended to take notice of someone like Yohan. His world is one of iron-fisted rule and heartless decisions, yet Yohan's defiant gaze as he endure punishment for a crime he didn't commit, sparks something in him. When he sees Yohan kneeling before the magistrate, not begging for mercy but glaring back at those who seek to break him, Yi Hwan is taken aback. Intrigued and unsettled by Yohan's silence and the strength that radiates from his battered form, he makes a decision that will bind them both in ways they cannot yet imagine. He buys Yohan, not as a man would buy a slave, but as a possession to bend and break. Yohan's body, bruised and broken, is now under his control, but the emperor soon learns that there is something more dangerous than defiance-an unwilling heart, a soul he cannot crush. The story unfolds as Yi Hwan attempts to dominate and silence Yohan, but Yohan's resistance, Yohan's silence, and Yohan's unyielding spirit draw him closer, even as it pushes Yohan both toward a tragic and destructive love.

"I won't fall for false promises," he spoke, voice breaking. "What I want you can never give me." "And what if I can?" The raven-haired boy argued. "Just give me a chance! You keep running away, what will it take for you to stay? ---------------------------------- Jordan Royal, an outcast prince betrayed by his father and cast out of his kingdom, finds himself on the doorstep of his kingdom's enemy. Once the perfect heir-intelligent, brave, and adored-Jordan was raised to be feared and worshipped. However, the one factor his father failed to account for was the compassion he had for others. He wasn't a prince who thrived on the suffering of others' he was a boy who had suffered deep, abandoned by the very blood he believed once would protect him. Betrayed by his own flesh and blood, he learned early on that nobility didn't guarantee freedom, nor did power promise safety. Now, left to fend for himself, Jordan carries the scars that the world was never meant to see. When he ends up on the doorstep of Kai Stone's house, he doesn't expect much. But, what he receives is the chance to make his own choices. Kai is everything he was taught to hate-the freedom, the care-free attitude, the fire. Jordan finally learns what is truly feels like to live. Kai Stone, the son of a powerful mafia leader bent on opposing the king's tyrannical ambitions, was deep into planning a secret entry into the palace when a sudden commotion outside caught his attention. That's when he found him-Jordan Royal, the son of his worst enemy, lying on his doorstep. Kai had always despised royalty. He loathed their arrogance, their smug smiles after destroying the lives of innocent people. To him, they were the embodiment of everything corrupt in the world. Yet, the more time he spend with the prince, he couldn't help but question his beliefs. No matter what he said about royalty, Kai couldn't seem to hate him
