"I was supposed to be the next Darth Vader." I said as I looked into the fire. "We all were, me, Snow, Hera."

"Where are they now?" Cara asked me causing me to look up.

"Dead. They're all gone. It's just me." I paused as a moment of silence for the friends I lost. Even though it had been years ago it still hurt the same. "The Empire became restless for looking for people that had the ability to wield the Force. So they turned to their next big thing...experimentation."

"Wait so you're saying you weren't born with your abilities." I nodded my head confirming the Mandalorian's question.

"I'm just a freak experiment from the Empire. Aren't we all at this point. Maybe not in the same way as me but we are all the way we are today as a result of the Empire's doing. Just some of us are a bit more weirder than others."

"You can literally move things with your mind. I think weird is an understatement."

Vella Delaba had been raised as a peacekeeper, a knight. But by necessity, she'd become a warrior and had fought in many wars. She'd been a padawan in the Clone Wars and had joined in the battle against the tyrannical Empire. But no matter how many fights she came back from, she was never prepared for what she'd lose. The Jedi had been slandered, their once loved name became mud beneath a blurrgs feet. She had fought battles civilians couldn't and was now branded a traitor. Her past haunted her. The Jedi haunted her. The Force haunted her. But no matter how much she ran, it always caught up. The Galactic Republic was long gone, the Jedi were dead, even the Empire had been defeated. She'd lived through all of it, all because she'd ignored and hidden one of the most important things about her. The war was over, the Rebellion had won, the Empire was gone. So why was she still struggling to find where she fit in the mix of it? She was a Jedi. Where did a Jedi fit into a galaxy that hadn't seen one for nearly thirty years? Against the Odds, and quite surprisingly, she found she fit quite nicely with a Mandalorian and a small child. Even if the Baby is the only one to figure that out yet. --------- HI IM BREEZY!! I've written this. I did this. It took me three years but it's finally finished and I'm SO excited to finally share it with you!! Hope you love it as much as I do!!! Din Djarin must defend the child against dark Force wielders who would gladly take the little one off his hands. He will have to decide whether to trust some new allies, for the safety of the child. Note: This was written before season 2 of The Mandalorian came out. I wanted to throw together some characters from different Star Wars series and see how they'd interact. Turns out, a couple of them did end up meeting. In this story, they get to go on a whole adventure. They learn some things about each other and about themselves along the way, which is often painful, but could create bonds of trust if that's what they choose. Getting into these characters' heads and exploring the Force and the galaxy far far away have been an amazing ride. I finished this story on May the 4th, 2020. Then later, my friends urged me to polish it up and put it out there. So here it is for anyone who would enjoy it! It's not meant to replace anything that's going on in the show (which has been amazing so far, by the way). It's just an exploration and speculation on these characters and their universe. This is a fanfiction. The universe, most of the characters, and most of the locales belong to Star Wars. If you search a character or planet on Wookieepedia and it comes up with nothing, chances are I made them up (because I checked, too, before I gave them names). However, they were sometimes partly inspired by existing characters or planets in Star Wars. My use of the mando'a language was inspired by its use in Karen Traviss's Republic Commando novels (which I highly recommend if you want to learn some things about Mandalorian culture . . . And they're good stories.)

"You don't understand how absolutely frustrating it is when the person you long for doesn't want to let you in. I want you, can't you see that? I want to know you, I want to see you, I want to be with you but you make it impossible." "Turn around." All characters other than my OC Sindre Hejran are property of Disney. The storyline will partially follow the show-not all dialogue and ideas are mine. *The story is going to follow to the end of season two but after that, it may go way off the tracks*
