Siblings, Isaac and Isabella Lightwood are half-human and half-magic beings and they are inseparable, until Isaac is sent to magic school and separated from Isabella for 10 years. 

10 years later, Isaac returns home after finishing magic school, to surprise Isabella, but only to find his home in ruins, both of his parents dead and his sister missing. 

After learning from his dying mother that Isabella is still alive, Isaac sets out to go find her. 

With the help from a light witch, Liliana, Isaac soon learns that Isabella has been abducted by Desmond, an evil, dark wizard, who is willing to use her body as a new vessel for his lover Daniela, an evil, dark witch.

Willing to save his sister, Isaac and Liliana go into Isabella's purgatory, where her soul is trapped, to go and save her.
