In receipt of special orders from the Office of Naval Intelligence, Case Officer Autumn Petrenko is reassigned to the HCS Gallant Inferno to undertake an off-the-books operation to return to the glassed planet of Algolis to investigate possible Covenant activity.
With designated units pulled from the Army, Navy, Marines, and ONI, the HCS will find, investigate, eliminate, and provide a positive anomaly report to HIGHCOM. This may not be the mission that will save humanity, but for the UNSC and humanity, it could be the very thing that will turn the tide of the war on planet REACH.

Book 01/06 (Current Version: Prototype - Version 1.5) This story/fanfiction is a 'what if scenario' within the Sci-Fi videogame series known as Halo and is based on an original character named 'Lieutenant Serenity McKnight' that partners with the legendary Master Chief himself, after the UNSC Pillar of Autumn was intercepted and crash landed on a mysterious structure called a Halo Ring known as Installation 04. And does their best to survive against the Covenant with the surviving crew of the ship on the unknown world. During such survival of the crew and soldiers of the UNSC Pillar of Autumn, a big mystery slowly unveils on the ring. As if they're not alone and Captain Jacob Keyes, Master Chief, Cortana, and the Lieutenant to lead the way and possibly escape with their fellow men and women in arms The story is a 'reimagining' of Halo and is non-canon and is to be not taken seriously as this was an idea created back when I first played the games. Combat Evolved is the first book of my main series known as 'Halo Battle Buddies' and will lead up to the first game and beyond. September 23rd, 2560, AI, Naomi Hello captain, to preface the ongoing conflict with the Banished forces, our resources are draining faster than anticipated, Marines, Spartan IV's, and even our Sangheili allies like the arbiter are being affected with the escalating conflict. ONI however is... they're getting on my nerves, they're being more paranoid than usual and I have an idea why, a field report in 2559 was filed during the Spirit of Fire issue, during their skirmises with the Banished, but that's not what's scaring ONI, at least i don't think.. in that report, a squad of marines under interim commander "Major Vaughan" have reported suspicious activity near firebase Omikron... something about a shifting shape with bioluminescent curtains within. a strange report to say the least, but whatever it is it's got ONI's panties in a bunch... AI Naomi, signing out. PS: i apologize but I must advise caution, I believe this universe is far larger than we all anticipated. --------- Authors Note: this Story is going to be INCREDIBLY slow.

From this Forerunner, it pledged itself and its forces of unknown magnitude to fight the genocidal war against the Covenant, to protect humanity. The UNSC Pillar of Autumn heads course back home, to the Solar System, Earth. A big mystery slowly unveils on humanities newest ally. Will our heroes within the UNSC turn the tides of the conflict in the fates of their species? What will this alliance with the Forerunner entail to go on the offensive? By the year 2015 humans have developed practical means of interstellar travel, but as they expand further out into the Milky Way, they disturb a previously unknown race of alien beings. Very shortly after the USAs United National Space Command [UNSC] discovers their exsitence, the aliens, known as Ecarians, send several scouting parties out to find the humans planet. One of the scouting parties lands outside of Des Plaines, Illinois which has a heavy population of supernaturals. One of them, a Sergeant from the local SWAT team by the name of Zuton Cruton, befriends one of the aliens, Zorra. She convinces the leader of their squad, Will, who is also the Deputy of the aliens, to ask to call off the attack. He aggrees, but his request is harshly denied and he and several other aliens defect to the humans side just in time for the invasion by the Ecarian Space Navy [ESN] of Earth... Quick description of the Ecarians: They have claw-like hands, pupil-less eyes of any color, and hair that can be any color and/or color combination.Complete
