Legend is that there is a very powerful and ancient staff, that when one inherits it, they become the most powerful man in the world. Apparently this staff has been passed on through generations to go, but in present time the legend has faded away, disbelieved. One young man discovers this legend again however, and finds himself tangled among a series of events. 
The setting of this story takes place in a magical land. There are a group of powerful people, who are called "protectors". They protect the land from the evil forces. There are sections of claimed places in the land, these are the kingdoms. The unclaimed lands remain as small villages. Sometimes, there are organizations that try to take down the protectors.
