Tangled Love
"You only live once." This is the overly used excuse that we use every time we make a decision and that's fine because it's true. This also goes with 'Love'. For once in our lives, we would eventually experience this love - the kind of love that just can't die. A love, though not being returned, we are still willing to take the risk. We expect that somehow, someday we will be rewarded. But how long can we give that love a chance? Are we really capable of giving so much without asking anything in return? Are we really capable of being happy, just seeing the person we love happy with someone else? How can we untangle something so twisted like LOVE? How can we survive without breaking? Why do bad things happen to good people? A question that his boy is making himself more then ever this days. From the beginning we see a 17 year old boy, struggling to finish high School, filled up with insecurities, mental health issues, a toxic family home, and impossible standards to live up to. He has learn to not only hate his life, but to want finish it off as fast as possible. Close to finally graduating high school his English teacher, Mr Steve, assigns the class a special progect. "To be able to see life through different eyes, and write about it." For this, Mr Steve gets his class to assist a hospital 3 times a week, and assigns each student, with a patient. This is the moment where this boy meets Royal, a cancer sick 17 year old girl, that has lived in a hospital her hole life, but still finds beauty and meaning in it. Through out the report the boy gets more and more involved in Royal's life, spending unfortunately moments together. But through out the journey he asks himself more and more. "Why do bad things happen to good people?" The passenger window rolls down, and I spot the most unexpected person seated behind the wheel.
