Evanora Ravenscroft comes from a long line of a dying race, thought to have long been driven to extinction: the witch race. Fabled in the mage community to be a distant legend of vile, curse ridden demons, the last time a witch was encountered, the world was plunged into the dark ages.
But Evanora knows the truth of her people, and she's running out of time. Born as normal, loving people, witches have a rich culture and traditions spanning generations. Bonding for life as teens and having children early in life, they live their lives to the fullest before they begin to forget their families and friends. Most witches become complete amnesiacs by the time they're 25. Along with this amnesia, witches begin to generate and pour magic from their bodies. And continue to do so until they die. The adult amnesiac stops needing sustenance and becomes a purposeless roaming force of nature, drifting where its whim takes it and unintentionally affecting everything in its path, whether positively or negatively.
Now 21, Evanora, is running out of time. Each day, the image of her parents wandering into the forest to never be seen again grows fainter, and accidents keep happening around her. In all her race's history, no witch has ever avoided their fate. Her resources are limited, and she's desperate to find a way to stop the corruption. But the only source of knowledge that may help her is the world renowned academy for mages, the magic users that nearly drove her species to extinction... Can she save herself the fate of becoming an empty shell of chaos, or will she lose herself trying to do the impossible?

That's insane, or so Brinley had once thought. Brinley Zora, your normal everyday 24 year old video game streamer. Morana knows she's different from other people in more ways than one. Firstly, she's sixty-seven years old but stopped ageing in her twenties. Weird things have also happened around her right after she's wished for it. But most importantly, no matter how she acts, people feel uncomfortable around her. Unfortunately, she has no way of finding out why all of this is since she was abandoned as a baby. A shocking event makes her cross paths with Alejo, a male witch who has issues trusting other witches. But when it comes to Morana, he feels comfortable and at ease, as well as attracted to her. They are, however, not mates, and as such, he knows that any romantic relationship between them is doomed to fail. To not risk losing her, he therefore does all he can to fight his own feelings. [Can be read without having read volume one and two] ---------- Mature rating due to: smut, violence (magical mainly, but some that's rather bloody), death, attempted rape (happens in chapter 42 and will be mentions of it afterwards, fairly none-descriptive, focus is on emotions, there will NOT be a trigger warning at the beginning of the specific chapter), abuse both physically and verbally - mention of past child abuse. There is no self-harm, however, there are certain aspects that might still be triggering in that regard.
