Spencer May is used to saving people. She made that oath that minute she became a nurse. Only when the end of the world hits and the dead starts roaming and eating people alive, does those thoughts have to change. Spencer is also used to being alone, from a lonely family life, to limited friendships, and never having been in a relationship, she's just always been alone. So finding a group of survivors, or them finding her, finally having a sense of family, and falling for the gruff guy with hard-exterior, does she finally realize how much her life has changed for the better, despite the world falling apart.

*This is a fan fiction of the walking dead. None of the characters are mine other than Spencer. The storyline will mainly follow that of the Walking Dead TV series, with some minor changes along the way*
