The death of Stoick the Vast shocked the entire village, but most of all Hiccup. Hiccup lost the father who had always looked out for him, through the good and the bad. Now Hiccup has retreated into the deepest part of himself. This new Hiccup is strange and unpredictable, everyone wants the old Hiccup back, but despite many attempts it just doesn't seem possible. Until the Hofferson Tribe come to stay on Berk for the betrothal of Hiccup's younger brother and the only daughter of the Hofferson chief, Astrid. At first Hiccup and Astrid despise each other, constantly blaming the other for any problems they face. But there is a connection between the two, will it be strong enough to bring the old Hiccup back?
