Unapproachable and detached, Margaret goes through life putting up a tough facade, manifesting a self-assured, mature student that finds frivolous teenage pleasures beneath her. As senior year begins, Margaret forms distant surmises and distorted suppositions of those around her, unknowingly alienating more and more people, except one - Noah. Fascinated by her complex character, Noah is determined to understand Margaret despite her abrasive personality and countless attempts to push him away. Through persistent meetings, the both of them form an unlikely rapport. Gradually, Margaret comes out of her shell and sees the world in a different light but when this friendship crosses into a gray area of something more, both of them are unprepared for the whirlwind of emotion that they have gotten themselves into.
