There was an electricity-deficit crisis. Getting electricity from natural recources hadn't been developed well enough to solve the problem. As a result, the government had established a team that was supposed to come up with a solution, and perhaps, prevention in the future. The team had developed a chip, that was to be implanted in a human's brain. The body would fall into a deep slumber, while a type of RPG video game would start itself in the brain. Because the chip is implanted in the brain, the game should be experienced as one experiences real life. The chip had the purpose of learning the bearers to live without modern facilities, and of course, they needed little in their hospital beds, to keep them alive. The product was tested thoroughly, and within several years, the country was notified about the situation. Every single person within the age of 17 to 30 was obliged to attend the nearest hospital, and undergo brain surgery.All Rights Reserved

People panicked and tried to survive for as long as they could. Some made it out of cities the others stayed. Our government fell and militias took control. The Monroe militia took over. Then one day he found electricity again. He used it for bad and soon conquered the whole world. Years later our world now runs on electricity again. The Monroe militia is still in power and they force teens to go into an academy to train as merciless killers. This is where I go. One question I always have in mind is, In a world where hope is the only thing we have, Can love exist in the middle of all this war?

In the future, science has found a way to re-animate the dead and make them pliant servants for the wealthy. They buy the units for 10,000 for a base model. More attractive units sell higher as well as the more physically fit the model is the higher the price. The units are used for anything and everything their owner wants, from household work to administrative duties, to even being sexual companions. They are each programmed with a hard drive in their brain that works like a computer and allows them to have a quick mind and agility, as well as nano machines in their body to repair any damage that can occur with normal usage. There are some people who still view the units as a dead body and have trouble interacting with them in their daily life. But most of the population is too poor to even afford one so this problem is left to the upper classes that can buy the units. For some, poverty is worse than death. For one Porcelyn, death is just the start.

So basically, each solider could make a civilian a soldier and the civilian would be forced to fight and make soldiers of their own. The whole operation snowballed and everything went according to plan. Unlike in other stories, there is no hope and the only way to survive is though the CPO (citizen protection organization), created by Benjamin Franklin. It's a system of secret subway tunnels, used to evacuate civilians to safely. Out story begins on July 2, 2076 when the first bomb drops. Madalyn Grace and her friends are caught in this apocalypse and must find away to leave.
