Life was dull, boring, and mechanical. I’ve always wondered if this would change. If something interesting will happen. I always hoped something interesting will happen. A falling meteor that would destroy half of town, an alien invasion, or even the Apocalypse. Alice and I, along with our friend Zero, help my aunt and uncle clear out their basement during spring break while they went away for their wedding anniversary. It all started when I ever so gracefully (but accidentally) tripped over a cupboard box (which in my defence, I never knew was there) with the words: 'Fragile - DO NOT TOUCH', written in black marker all over the box. While Alice and I were arguing, Zero tried to grab our attention. When he finally did, we were surprised to see him being sucked into a freakin' green swirling portal! Turns out, inside the box I tripped over had a crystal ball rolled out of it, and glowed a bright green. That was when we realised that that crystal ball, was the reason why a portal appeared and was trying to pull us in. And of course...I got separated from them, didn't I? Would you believe me if I told you we entered the world of our favourite movie when we were kids? You know...the Dreamworks movie, Shrek? The one with the fairy tale and Disney characters in?
