In a world, where superheroes like Captain America, Thor or Wanda Maximoff are everyday occurances, another person with super powers doesn't seem to be a big deal.
But Amara didn't get her powers because she proved her heroism, nor was she born with them. After a very traumatic night, she doesn't even know anymore, who she is and who she will be in this weird world.
Maybe a veteran when it comes to handling superpowered people, Phil Caulson, can help her moving forward. But how can she handle the urge to devour her foes while maintaining the core of her identity.
This story goes further than other rape and revenge stories, basing it's focus on finding oneself after severe trauma. Set in a world, where the impossible seems normal.

Both have a past they don't like. She was tortured and he was neglected. But when the God of Mischief has to be held captive in her home she can't help be curious. She's one of the few who shows kindness to the misunderstood God; not caring that the others around her don't approve. When troubles come her way making her life haywire he's there for her as well. So falling in love with him along the way will obviously happen...right? Static
{COMPLETED} "now that you've had your fun electrocuting me, would you care to hop in the backseat?" ---------------------------------------------------------- Freak DNA. That's what I like to call it. The fault to my genetic code. More often than not, it's a curse. The static running through my blood gave me a name. A cruel, daunting label of a measly bug. A roach. That's what I am to them, to the government. Roach; the nameless monster with electricity for a sense and lightening as a second nature. It ruined my life, the sparking currents playing tag in my mind, running around and bumping into everything, shaking me loose. The government, actually. They ruined my life. My curse just gave them a reason. You see, the normal population with ordinary DNA, they don't know about the people like me. The roaches of the world. We don't get that kind of recognition at the camps. There, we are only one thing in the military's eyes. We are weapons and we will act like it. Everyone else out there, bathing in the goodness they don't know they've got, they don't know about the roaches their stepping on. As long as their getting closer to the sky, they don't care what they stand on to reach it. They don't know about the sparkling dreamer that's killed 7 people before her 17th birthday. They don't about the ghost of a girl peaking around corners for her entire life because even home wasn't safe. They don't know about the fighter of steel and iron sucking on his bloody lip courtesy of the wars he battles in as nothing but a shadow. They don't know about the masked villain who would do anything to see the army they lead claim the throne They don't know about us. But they will, because we will rise. And when we arrive, we will arrive violently. ___________________________________________ Started: 10.06.15 Finished: 3.17.16Complete
Half Hero ⚡️ {Superhero Adventure Scifi}
I should be dead. At least, that's what the government officials told me in the super-secret lab where I woke up strapped to a mattress in a windowless room...Sound problematic to anyone else? Like I told the psychos experimenting on me, I've got zero clue how I got my new powers, but I'm sure-as-shit not going to let them turn me into a deadly weapon (or squeeze me into a spangly jumpsuit). Problem is, I'm not so great at controlling whatever the hell it is I've become...Not to mention I'm on the run from my country for a teensy-weensy act of treason while being chased by a shadowy masked mute who may or may not have superhuman abilities too (but is definitely stupid hot under his off-putting disguise). I'm only 25 and my career choices have been limited to hero or villain. WTF?!? Indie Author Fangirl Moments: 1. SHORTLISTED FOR A 2021 Watty (WTF?!?) 2. When I was a little girl I always wanted to have super powers. I grew up with my father and mother but things weren't always the way they seemed. My memories of my family were very faint which made me question my whole life. A few years later I got a job working with S.H.E.I.L.D as Nick Fury was close with my father. However there was a secret about myself that only a few people knew. (This book contains some swearing) (Please forgive me if some things aren't correct this book is my very own take on the MCU and Loki. I didn't want to make it exactly like the films or comics. It's inspired by the MCU and Loki. Hope you enjoy :) thank you for checking it out)Complete
