One determined faun. One defensive human. One unforgiving world.
What makes a hero, and what makes an evil beyond any measure?
By Arforenthia is a fight for their rights, their pasts, and their lives.

Cyra Astern is half-doe. And an outcast. but she definitely isn't your typical dark soul girl, or a lonely bookworm. No, she's their worst nightmares. She's stubborn, sarcastic, and refuses to give up. Her goals? Survive, and retaliating against the cruel antimagi as much as possible.
Niels Ling is... somewhat more normal. He's human, at least. He's just as defensive, equally great at making snide remarks, but unlike Cyra, he's a very strong believer in doing the right thing. Yet there's one word - one name - that has him feeling like he's trapped in a burning building.
Being forced to cooperate on a quest, for the sake of... well, everything, is the worst thing that's ever happened to them.
But at least it'll be interesting.

AVAILABLE ON AMAZON & KINDLE On the planet Keodis, upon the western continent, Uestron, inside the Raesifiin Empire, in the small naval city of Cyripo, the story begins when thirteen diverse strangers answer a strange pamphlet to a quest. The quest is to find a powerful gem in the Deep Forest, and then to use what powers it bestowed on them to delve into the Mountain Barrier. There, they will have to find the Light to dispel the growing Darkness within. Though this qest is honorable and righteous, the dangers that await them are exponentially worse than they could ever imagine. Whether they can save the world depends on whether they can survive themselves. Mature rating for blood, gore and depictions of violence. TW: mentions of drunkards and beer, mention of physical abuses, a description of trypophobia, claustrophobia, and other phobias, and descriptions of nasty cryptids. There is no depictions or allusions of sex, no f-bombs, or drug abuse. This story was started when I was in seventh grade. I finished the original when I was a senior in high school. Displeased with the finished product, I began to rewrite it here, starting June 2015, then again in 2020. I am quite satisfied with the result, and am sure this will be the final edition. This isn't the first book of the series, but there's no spoilers for 'The World is Larger than it Seems', so you can start on this one. The story is far from finished, however, and I hope to eventually finish the series.
