When a world creates superpowers, come along supervillains. As technology advances, too does humanity...too does the world. Everybody wanted to be super. Everyone wanted to be special. The need for supers will only continue to grow, but we will stop it. Politics argue over whether the supers are necessary, or bad for the world. BYRD INDUSTRIES, DAMCORP, MOONSTRUCK TECH, SOVEREIGNTY, A.B.C LABS, have completely taken over the world. Supers have invaded all of North America. Protesters, criminals, rights, and country rulers- they try fight against the supers of the world. Yet they have no idea of the true supers, right under their noses, rising in development. Kamilla Carina, also known as Killer, also known as Snakebite, is a saw-scaled viper combined with a human. She originated from BYRD INDUSTRIES, a company known for making hybrids of animals and humans. There, she grew up, experiencing the horrors and small containments that hybrids learn to deal with. Labs full of traumatized hybrids, refusing to speak due to the pain. Tiny habitat boxes- they are forced to live in. Insanity-consuming schedules, full of torture and forced activities. Every day, innocent children who were put against their will to be combined with their chosen animal. Though the outside world..me and you hate and love, has no clue. No hybrid has ever escaped a hidden lab from BYRD INDUSTRIES. Camilla Carina, was just another oblivious hybrid. Once she turned only 12, she was sent to her assigned environment exhibit- Desert Exhibit, ACE LAB 13, Rosefield, Nevada. Camilla stayed alone in the desert for years, hidden from the exhibit, and feared by the ones who acknowledged her presence. She even made...an acquaintance along the way. Life was as good as it could get for her. Nobody ever thought she'd be one of the few lucky hybrids to escape BYRD INDUSTRIES for the first time. Nobody thought she'd be the newest member of the Anti-Heroes. Though Kamilla only has more to come.

But keeping her past from her new classmates is hard. From new friends that Lilith doesn't want to scare away to a boy that somehow has captured her heart, Lilith has got her hands full. And as a hidden evil begins to arise from the shadows, Lilith will have to tackle her new life as a hero student with a clear conviction of whom she wants to be and what she'll sacrifice to get there.     I'm not like wonder woman, supergirl or catwoman. The only similarity we share is that we all have an extraordinary ability and are females. Many people would say having superpowers was a gift from god and the best thing that could ever happen to you. But not for me, being able to freeze time was more of a burden, because I couldn't control it and it had the worst timing to appear. I also didn't think about being a superhero and rescuing the world from the bad. The only thing I want is to be left alone and get over with my last year of high school. But of course everything came different and it all started with me attracting accidentally the attention of Reece Matthews. (cover made by Cjc8357)

    You should be advised that nothing about my life is going to make any sense. Sorry, but that is just the cold, horrifying, acid trip horror show that is my life. So without hesitation, I'm just going to lay it all out for you and let you decide what to do from there. Strange Fact #1: I was found naked in a cave when I was less than a week old in the summer of 1629. I should also let you know that I stopped aging at the age of twenty five. So, I have currently been twenty five years old for four hundred and two years, with no sign of ever changing. I don't know why. I don't know how. Acid trip horror show... Strange Fact #2: I can't be killed. I mean, I'm sure I could be killed if someone really put their heart into it, but I have been burned alive, ran over, shot in the chest, stabbed through the heart and fallen off the edge of a cliff, and I've walked away completely fine every time. It hurt, obviously, but in minutes I was back to normal. Strange Fact #3: I'm not alone.

    "Are you coming to bed firefly?" He says to me laying his hands over my waist joining me in looking over the city. "I want to look out for a little longer if that is alright?" I mumble hoping that he heard me anyways, I wasn't ready to walk into that bedroom, and I don't think I ever would be. "Of course, I'll be getting ready for bed, come in whenever you are ready." He says confidently and walks away leaving my waist cold something for which I am grateful. Especially when my mind burns with other more dangerous thoughts. The warmth that forever lingers in the air, never burning the skin, but always reminding about what is around us. I force air into my lungs feeling the unexpected warmth fill me. He stands in the room watching me even though he said he was getting ready for bed. He is worried about me, about me jumping. I have contemplated it I will admit, but he would stop me before I fell even two feet. I was stuck, and no one could save me. Not even myself, my fucking weak self. His presence is demanding no matter where we are, but right now I could sense everything about him, and I try to suppress the unwanted feelings that curl right under my skin. "Firefly? About done?" He calls out and I release my hand from the guard rail not realizing that as I looked at the lights that covered the shining city with the falling fire in the background that my subconscious was thinking about how nice it would be... how relieving it would be... to just fall. True freedom. I take a step back and wrap my hands together turning around to a fully clothed unchanged man and nod once. Like I told the psychos experimenting on me, I've got zero clue how I got my new powers, but I'm sure-as-shit not going to let them turn me into a deadly weapon (or squeeze me into a spangly jumpsuit). Problem is, I'm not so great at controlling whatever the hell it is I've become...Not to mention I'm on the run from my country for a teensy-weensy act of treason while being chased by a shadowy masked mute who may or may not have superhuman abilities too (but is definitely stupid hot under his off-putting disguise).
