Whilst planning the Attack on New York, Loki attracts the attention of Thanos by his use of the Tesseract. Before being captured by the Avengers of Earth, Loki his the Tesseract away somewhere within the Nine Realms. The Avengers seek to gain control of the Tesseract to protect Earth from Thanos but despite their best efforts they cannot convince Loki to give up the location of the Tesseract. Natasha Romanoff calls in an old friend that she thinks can have some sway over the God of Mischief.
