GATE: Thus The Philippine Army Fought There

The year is 2017.

7 days after when the Philippines made a decisive victory over the Battle of Marawi, a magical gate suddenly appears in Quezon City, causing catastrophic damage and loss of life as soldiers from another dimension emerged from the gate.

In response of this incident, dubbed the "Araneta 10/30 incident", the Government of the Philippines, led by Sergio Trillanes Rodriguez Jr., issued a proclamation order that the Philippine Army will move through the Gate into what is called "Special Region" (Espesyal na Rehiyon), to gather information and know more on what they are dealing with, while they are also tasked to initiate peace negotiations with the Empire of the other world in order to bring the end to hostilities, rather than letting the war continue.

There, one man Wilfredo F. (Frederick) Colmenar, who as Master Sergeant of the Philippine Army's 1st Scout Ranger Regiment, was among the many squad members and infantrymen, including his friends who previously participated in the Battle of Marawi, who would find themselves in a different dimension filled with dragons, magic, different human races like demigods or elves, and so much more...
