She has the perfect reputation at her typical Canadian high school. Good girl, straight A's, a small group of close friends, and never appearing in the middle of drama...

Aurora Li, an immigrant teen from China, is not what she seems. Damaged from her childhood trauma and now dealing with family issues, Aurora is hurting inside. Behind the mask she puts on at school, Aurora has had enough of her immigrant parents' constant bickering lately, arguing so loudly that all their apartment building neighbours can hear. So what happens when Zach Johnson, the school's golden boy, moves into the apartment space right across from Aurora's family? Aurora's home life gets exposed to Zach and he now stands in the way of Aurora's hopes of a peaceful senior year. Misunderstandings occur and Aurora becomes an enemy of Zach, which doesn't blow over very well with Aurora's overwhelming stress at home and at school. How long will Aurora be able to keep her facade at school now that Mr. Perfect knows her secret?

Life is never easy... especially not for Aurora Li.
