Darkness. It's all I can see. Wait, can you see darkness? I'm not sure. Come to think of it, I'm not sure of anything. I stand up slowly, a dull pain constantly throbbing in the back of my head. I look around in a hopeless attempt to see my surroundings. Nothing.
With my arms held out in front of me like some kind of weird zombie, I walk forward. After about three steps my hand hit something. Cool metal. Keeping my hand in the wall I walk to my left.
A box. I'm in a small, metal box. I sit down and draw my knees to my chest. Yep, just chillin out in me box. I have little to no sense of time but after what must be about ten minutes the box shudders.
A piercing screech fills the air. Slowly, with much noise, the box begins to rise. I jump to my feet, nearly face planting in the process, and struggle to gain my balance.
With a hand on the wall to steady my self I pound on the walls. Screaming. Screaming louder than ever before in my life. I think. I can't remember my life before. I can't remember anything. My earliest memory is waking up in this box.

The deafening sounds of screeching metal surrounded me. I sucked in deep heavy breaths trying to remember why I was here. Nothing came. I started to panic. Sweat trickled down my spine sending a shiver throughout my body. I pushed myself up off the ground, struggling to stand as the ground shook uncontrollably. Was it an earthquake? The Glader's all stood around the box, waiting for it to come to the surface so they could spot their new greenie as well as get their supplies for the week. My heart was pounding, fear taking over my body, I stood up. I was in some sort of room - I think it was a room, if it was a room it was a small room, a very small room. then suddenly the room started to elevate. I fell to my knees, the room was going up so fast, I couldn't get back onto my feet. Where was I going? Was I gonna die? Then it hit me. I don't even know anything about myself, all I know is my name. Ellie. My name is Ellie. But what did I look like? Who are my parents? do I have any siblings? The box gained more speed and the sirens grew louder. Red and green lights flashed above my head and I saw the ceiling getting closer. The box screeched to a halt, barely avoiding crashing in to the ceiling of the tunnel I was in. I sat in silence, my heart racing. The light went out and I was surrounded by darkness. "Hello? Is there anyone there?" Gears squealed and groaned, and the ceiling began to open. A light poured in from the widening crack, and I covered my eyes instinctively, crawling back until my back hit a wall. The doors opened fully and I heard voices. "What is it?" "Move out of the way, shuck-face! I can't see!" "Is it another person?" "Two Greenies in two days!?" "I think it's a girl!" "You're crazy, slinthead! Why would they send a girl?" Then a more authoritative voice silenced the remarks. "Move, ya shanks! Lemme get in there to get 'em out of the bloody Box." I heard a thud and the box swayed. The footsteps came closer to me and I uncovered my eyes. A boy looked down at me, his brown eyes wide in surprise. "Bloody hell! It's a girl!" He said and stepped closer to me. I pressed myself back against the wall. Surprised shouts came from above. "Why the shuck is there a girl?" "Who are you? And where am I? Where did you take me?"
