Alison had met Benjamin, who had changed her life completely. Before, she had begun to sink deeper into a sort of constant boredom and given up on her work. She had fallen deeply in love with Benjamin, but he loved Heather. Turns out Benjamin and Heather got into a toxic relationship which Alison tried to talk Benjie (what Alison called him) out of. It didn't really work, and it ended up being so bad that before Benjamin knew it, they had fallen into a deep depression.
